What an event!! It was a wonderful evening, and we would all like to thank everyone who took time out of their Saturday to come see the gallery and spend some time with us. It was great to see so many new faces, along with the many former students and past customers who came out to support the Academy and catch-up with us!

The party was a great way for us to show the public what we're all about at the Aperture Academy. In-field instructors, Brian Rueb and Jim Patterson, were available to talk to the public, answer questions about workshops, and share stories from their photographic experiences. Classroom instructors, Jeanette Smith and Scott Donschikowski, were there as well, offering some tips and tutorials on Lightroom and Photoshop. Stephen Oachs, the gallery founder and the gala's host, answered questions regarding his images, and gave away over $5000 worth of prints and certificates as prizes in the raffle.

In addition to the instructors from the academy, there was a representative from the Snow Leopard Trust on hand to answer any questions about their great organization. Stephen became a supporter through his photograph, Endangered Beauty, and we were honored to have them attend, and to be able to help spread awareness for the snow leopard.

Festivities started about 6pm, and the evening included live music by guitarist Jerry Snyder, great food catered by Talula Bay Catering, wine tasting, the unveiling of two brand new fine art prints by Stephen (Maroon Bells "Upon Reflection" and Colorado's "Old Crystal Mill")...and it all lasted until after midnight! The event saw well over five hundred people come through the doors over the course of the night. It was a true celebration, and a lot of fun!

Evenings like this will continue to be a part of the Aperture Academy as we further expand our services, event functions, and bring you state-of-the-art instruction in all areas of digital photography.
