Dream Trip: Aperture Academy Photography Workshop Cruises to Alaska in Luxury

Aperture Academy in Campbell, CA, has added exciting new classes to their digital photography workshop schedule for 2011, from Introduction to Photography seminars, to on location Botanical Gardens and the Grand Canyon workshops, and a luxury dream cruise to Alaska.

CAMPBELL, CA—FEBRUARY 9, 2010—Aperture Academy owner and professional nature photographer, Stephen Oachs, has released the Academy's schedule of digital photography location workshops and computer classes for 2011. Many new classes and workshops have been added, from the Grand Canyon, and an extreme adventure in Zion Narrows, to a week-long luxury Alaskan cruise that offers a series of photography workshops including whale watching, shore excursions, Photoshop classes, photography seminars, one-on-one instruction and print classes.

"We are excited to offer this workshop cruise package through Holland America. Our dedicated and very enthusiastic students deserve a dream experience, and we are working diligently to provide as many as we can. The cruise this year, as well as an exciting 'extreme' expedition to Zion, are just the beginning. Students ask, we listen!" said Oachs. Among 2011 location workshops suggested by students are the Oregon Coast, the Columbia Gorge, the Grand Canyon, Palouse Wildflowers in Washington, and more time in favorite locations such as Death Valley, Yosemite, Eastern Sierras and the very popular "Night Owls" classes in San Francisco.

This year's cruise combines the fun and satisfaction of a photography workshop in Alaska with the luxury and relaxation of a vacation. Aboard a luxury cruise ship for a week of photography with the professionals from the Aperture Academy, students will get many chances to photograph wildlife, landscapes, icebergs and a great deal more. Plus, instructors will be on-hand the entire week to answer any questions about becoming a better photographer.

Students will be able to process their images in an on-board classroom featuring Adobe certified instructors teaching Photoshop and Lightroom. Participants can even get their best photos matted and framed while on the ship so they're ready to hang on the wall when they get home.
